Today was all about microcontrollers! We uploaded our first program to control an LED from the internet. You can see the class presentation here.
The process loosely followed the guides for digital and analog output from Adafruit’s IO Basics guide. Before we could even get started we had to install the board managers and libraries into the Arduino IDE software.

Once the Arduino IDE is set up, The example files can be found under File > Examples > Adafruit IO. The objective is to use digital and analog output to control an LED from the Adafruit IO web interface.
Some students were successful, and others not – this is NOT atypical. Many of the issues stemmed from incorrect feed names (case sensitivity) and incorrect SSID passwords for internet connectivity.
